I'm Randy and I'll be in Memphis from tomorrow until tuesday the 18th.
I've been climbing for about 4 years now, and 2 months ago was doing 5.12c v6/v7
No idea where I am at as I have been so busy with work I've been unable to get out much. Anyway while I'm in Memphis visiting a friend would like to get some climbing in. Anyone know some good spots? The places I've read about seemed sort of on the easy side. Is the UT gym still a good spot? Most posts are almost a year old.
Any place to rent gear? I have my own but my friend will not.

Climb hard!

Closest outdoor crags are 3hrs away. You want to climb indoor or go to a crag?

Well I was hoping to do some outdoor climbing but yeah 3 hours is a bit far.
What are my options for indoor climbing? Anything going to be open today (sunday)?

Best options would be UT (good for a workout and bouldering junkies, not much more) or the Lifetime Fitness in Collierville (not been there, but here it is a taller wall, more kids less climbers).

I think UT is open on Sunday.
